Letter from the General Editor

It now seems a long time ago, 1980, that Chris Adam, John Conybeare and I took over as Co-Editors of the AUSTRALIAN JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT from the Founding Editor, Ray Ball. When John left the AGSM he was replaced by Vic Taylor, and in 1984, the management of the JOURNAL was restructured and I became General Editor. A number of my colleagues have since served as editors with me. To them and the reviewers I owe a great debt for their support and hard work. Without them, the JOURNAL would not have been a success. Among them, I would like specifically to acknowledge the commitment of Robert Marks, whose efforts are largely responsible for the high quality of the JOURNAL's presentation. Sandra Hoey and Fiona Reay have brought additional management and technical skills to the production of the JOURNAL. They have been a pleasure to work with. It only remains to welcome John Roberts as the new General Editor and wish him well; to thank you, the readers and authors, for your support - after all, you are the JOURNAL; and, as a mark of my ongoing commitment to the JOURNAL and research, to fund a $500 prize to be awarded each year for the best paper.

Good-bye and thank you.

Philip Yetton
General Editor
